One of the ways I offer support to my clients is to write their submissions for accreditations and awards, like the RoSPA awards, to demonstrate how good they are at managing risk. It’s a part of the job you might say and over the years Matt and I have got very good at knowing just the right thing to say in 600 words or less.
What I was not prepared for was finding that one of my clients had nominated me for an award and even better, that I’d won it!
Those of you who know me will have heard me say many times ‘Recognise, Reward, Respond’. Whenever someone does something that ‘fits’ the culture we are developing make sure you hold it up as a great example for others to follow. I know this is true, it works, I’ve seen it many times. But I think this is the first time I’ve truly felt it.
So I am now officially the 2018 RoSPA Guardian Angel having been nominated by Stafford and Rural Homes (SARH) in recognition of the support I have provided and which they feel – and I cannot tell you how proud this makes me – has gone over and above my contract with them.
So thank you Karen and thank you Jo – some clients make it very easy to do well. The success we have had at SARH we have had together and as recipients of this year’s RoSPA President’s Award SARH really are taking commitment to safety and welfare to the next level. Thank you for being such a pleasure to work with.
